Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your coffee journey?
I just began exploring coffee 4 years ago, and fortunately, I started with specialty coffee. After working in an office for a few years, I stumbled upon coffee by chance and became a barista for over 3 years, learning mainly through self-study and the help of friends. About a year ago, I began roasting, and I relied mostly on self-study, but I also received lots of help and guidance from friends in the coffee industry.

What motivated you to enter the Barista Champs this year, is this your first time?
I felt like it was now or never - I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and experience new challenges both in my personal and professional life. And yes, this is my first time entering the Barista Champs.

How long have you worked at Atomic for?
6 months.

What makes the coffee at Atomic stand out?
At Atomic, probably the attitude to coffee is the most impressive thing. But what really sets us apart is our altitude to customers. We try our best to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can enjoy their coffee experience to the fullest.

How do you drink your coffee?
I always finish a cup within three sips.

We know you are all about the coffee, but do you have a food offering at Atomic?
Yes. I like chips.

What’s your favourite dish?
Actually, my favourite dish is roast duck, but we don’t have it at Atomic.

Can you share a piece of advice you’d offer others starting in hospitality?
You need to respect every single ingredient

When you’re not spinning coffees, what do you enjoy doing?
Sports. Watching Premier League, I’m a big Arsenal fan

Is there anything else you’d like us to know?
The uncertainty and infinite possibilities of coffee bring a unique charm. Hopefully I can have coffee in my life for many years to come.
