Our Restaurant Association Partnership

Supporting New Zealand hospitality through our partnership with the Restaurant Association.
Backing the voice of New Zealand hospitality

We're a proud partner of the Restaurant Association of New Zealand (RA), the industry body that's represented New Zealand hospitality businesses since the 1970s. With 15 regional branches and a large network of partners and supporters, the RA is genuinely embedded in the day-to-day reality of running a hospitality business here, not just an advocacy voice, but a practical, on-the-ground resource.

Our partnership goes beyond a logo on a page. We show up at the events that matter to the industry, help build resources RA members actually use, and back initiatives that shape where New Zealand hospitality is heading.

Connecting to the Industry through our Partnership

  • We attend the industry's biggest events. We were at the 2026 NZ Hospitality Summit, connecting directly with the operators, chefs and hospitality leaders the RA represents.
  • We help more businesses access RA membership. Through our marketing campaigns, we give away RA memberships to our customers, making it easier for hospitality operators to access the advocacy, support, savings, promotion and training the RA offers.
  • We build toolkits alongside the RA. Practical, usable resources co-developed with the RA, designed to help hospitality operators put good advice into action, not just read about it.
  • We support the development of reports, designed to inform the industry. We are a sponsor of the RA's Future of Hospitality report, backing the forward-looking, industry-wide research that helps hospitality businesses plan ahead with real data, not guesswork.

What the Restaurant Association does for its members

The RA supports its members across five key areas:

  • Advocacy. The voice of the industry since the 1970s, representing hospitality businesses on issues like employment law, food safety, liquor licensing, immigration and general business advice. The RA tracks the latest industry news and developments, shares them with members through regular newsletters and reports, and works with central and local government to make sure hospitality's voice is heard.
  • Support. Acting like a silent business partner, with a helpline and an online resource library, plus 15 regional branches that host informal meet-ups throughout the year.
Savings. A large network of partners and supporters offering members savings on things like merchant fees, EFTPOS, energy and insurance.
  • Promotion. A gift card and voucher programme through Dinefind, driving customers through the doors of hospitality venues across New Zealand, plus regional hospitality awards that recognise and celebrate industry success.
  • Training. A professional development programme with live and streamed workshops, an on-demand training library covering hundreds of topics, and the Hospo Start programme, giving entry-level staff and job-seekers a way into the industry.

Why it matters

The RA provides its members with practical, on-the-ground support that goes well beyond what any single supplier can offer. Partnering with an organisation that is embedded in New Zealand hospitality means we're backing the same businesses we serve; through advocacy, education, and industry-wide initiatives, not just through supply.
