Sticky Soy Fried Chicken Burger

Crispy katsu fried chicken burger glazed with a rich, sticky soy sauce.

Serves: 2 Burgers

Ingredients

260g Chicken Thighs
Flour
Egg wash
Panki Breadcrumbs
Canola Oil
25ml Soy Sauce
10g Brown Sugar
0.5tsp Minced Garlic
0.5tsp Minced Ginger
0.5tsp Sesame Oil
2 Nature's Fresh King Burger Buns

Method

  1. Prepare the Katsu Chicken. Flatten chicken thighs, coat in flour, dip in egg wash and cover with panki. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy.
  2. While the chicken is frying, make the sticky soy sauce. Simmer soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a pan until thick. Coat the fried chicken into the sauce and set aside.
  3. Assemble the chicken burger now! Spread garlic aioli on both sides of the burger bun, add a layer of Asian slaw to the bottom half.
  4. Add the crispy katsu chicken and sprinkle fried shallots and sesame seeds on top.
